Chrysler Spare Keys: Plan Access for More Than One Driver

CAR KEY HELP · CHRYSLER

Sharing a Chrysler among drivers is a reason to plan a working spare while the original remains available. Identify the functions each driver needs and count the keys that actually start the vehicle. A remote or blade in a drawer should be described by what it does.

Choose the right vehicle reference

Mopar provides owner resources for Chrysler vehicles with manuals selected by vehicle and year. Use that reference to identify the documented equipment before choosing a replacement. An older manual or a remote from a different model should not establish the requirements for your current vehicle.

Build a clear spare-key request

Ask whether the intended spare includes starting authorization, remote buttons and mechanical access. Keep the working keys available and mention any aftermarket part before it is purchased. If the last working key has been lost instead, explain that change because an all-keys-lost request is a different service situation.

Verify the agreed result

For a Wilmington or Leland mobile appointment, give the actual parking location and confirm compatibility and current availability. Discuss the estimate and the required finished functions. Before the job is considered complete, ask how the proposed spare’s included access and starting functions will be checked.
